The third Test between England and West Indies ended in an expected draw at Edgbaston in Birmingham because of the poor weather. The final day’s play was completely washed out by persistent rain and there was not a chance for even a single ball to be bowled.
The Third Test saw just the two days of cricketing action with the highlights being Denesh Ramdin’s century and no.11 Tino Best’s 95. The match could get underway only on the third day. West Indies batted first to score 426. England in reply came up with 221 for 5 with Kevin Pietersen and Ian Bell scoring fifties.
Tino Best got the Player of the Match award. Marlon Samuels and Andrew Strauss got the Player of the Series awards for their respective teams. England with this draw take the Investec Series 2-0.
