Match Report of Afghanistan Vs Pakistan, Only ODI at Sharjah

Pakistan warmed up ahead of their ODI Series against England by beating their neighbours Afghanistan by 7 wickets in a one-off match at Sharjah on Saturday. Afghanistan making a brave decision of batting first after winning the toss posted a respectable 195 all out in 48.3 overs though none of its batsmen could score a half century.

Shahid AfridiThe top scorer for Afghanistan was opener Karim Sadiq who made an impressive 40 from 47 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Shahid Afridi with his quick leg breaks destroyed the Afghan batting line-up taking 5 for 36 in 10 overs.

Pakistan despite stuttering at 99 for 3 in the run chase got the target of 196 with as many as 77 balls to spare. Imran Farhat with 52 (from 67 balls with 9 fours) and Younis Khan with 70* (from 65 balls with 10 fours) set up Pakistan towards a victory. Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq remained unbeaten on 40* from 55 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Afridi for his five-wicket haul got the Man of the Match award.
