Jacques Kallis: The South African all-rounder hasn’t quit the game altogether, but the ongoing Test at Durban will be his last five day game. At the beginning of the Durban game, Kallis had featured in 165 Tests and had scored 13174 runs at an average of 55 with 44 hundreds, 58 fifties and a highest score of 224. In addition, he also has 292 wickets to his credit averaging 32.5 with five five-wicket hauls and a best of 6/54.

Sachin Tendulkar: The Indian legend retired with 200 Tests and amassed 15921 runs averaging 53.7 with 51 tons, 68 fifties and a best of 248 not out. In one-dayers, Tendulkar ended up with 18426 runs from 463 ODIs averaging 44.8 with 49 fifties and 96 hundreds, and a highest score of 200 not out. With the ball, Tendulkar took 46 Test wickets and 154 in one-dayers.

Graeme Swann: The off-spinner from England called it quits midway through the Ashes. Swann finished with 255 wickets from 60 Tests averaging 29.9 with 17 five-wicket hauls and 3 ten wicket-hauls. Swann’s best figures in an innings are 6/65 and his best match haul is 10/132. In ODIs, Swann grabbed 104 wickets from 79 ODIs with one five-wicket haul averaging 27.7. His best figures in an innings are 5/28.

Michael Hussey: The dependable Aussie bat called it quits after the New Year Test against Sri Lanka at Sydney. He ended up playing 79 Tests and 6235 runs averaging 51.5 with 19 hundreds and 25 fifties. Hussey’s highest Test score is 195. In one-dayers, he ended up with 5442 runs from 185 games averaging 48 with three tons and 39 fifties. His highest ODI score is 109 not out.

Chris Martin: New Zealand’s pace spearhead for nearly a decade, Martin featured in 71 Tests for New Zealand and ended up with 233 wickets averaging 33.8 with 10 five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul. Martin’s best figures in an innings are 6/26 and those in a match are 11/180. He played only 20 ODIs and grabbed 18 wickets averaging 44.6 with a best of 3/62.

Ajit Agarkar: Six years after he last played for India, Agarkar announced his retirement. He featured in 191 ODIs and claimed 288 wickets averaging 27.8 with two five-wicket hauls and a best of 6/42. In Tests, he featured in 26 matches, but managed only 58 wickets averaging 47.3 with one five-wicket haul, his best of 6/41.

Steve Harmison: England’s 2005 Ashes hero last played international cricket in 2009. He featured in 63 Tests and picked up 226 wickets averaging 31.8 with eight five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket match haul. His best figures in an innings are 7/12 and those in a match are 11/ 76.

Matthew Hoggard: Another of England’s 2005 Ashes heroes, Hoggard played his last Test back in 2008. He featured in a total of 67 Tests and picked up 248 wickets averaging 30.5 with seven five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket match haul. His best figures in an innings are 7/61 and those in a match are 12/205.
