On expected lines, senior cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been included in the Indian team for the T20I series against Afghanistan. The Men in Blue will play three T20Is against Afghanistan, starting January 11 in Mohali. The series will mark the return of Kohli and Rohit to the T20I format. They lasted represented India in the format in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, where the Men in Blue went down to England in the semi-final in Adelaide.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday, August 21 named the squad for the 2023 Asia Cup, which will be played from August 30 to September 17. The 17-member squad includes KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, both of whom will be making a comeback from injury. Basnahira South cricket team is one of the five provincial cricket teams which make up the Sri Lankan domestic cricket structure representing southern region of Western province. Basnahira South is based in Colombo.The cricket team participate in the two provincial tournaments: the first-class cricket competition known as the Inter-Provincial Tournament, and the Twenty20 competition known as the Inter-Provincial Twenty20. They also participated in the 2007/08 Inter-Provincial Limited Overs Tournament. The tournament is defunct now.
