Just a day after India moved up to No.3 in the One Day Internationals (ODI) rankings, they slipped to number four in the ICC Twenty20 International (T20I) rankings. The update happened on May 1.
India dropped six points and are now on 118 points. They are three points behind second placed England and Pakistan, who have 121 points each. New Zealand are at number one with 125 points.
England have moved up three places while South Africa have lost two places and are at number five. Australia and West Indies have exchanged places. West Indies are on 14 points, just ahead of ranked Sri Lanka. Bangladesh are ranked 10th on 78 points after gaining four points, while Zimbabwe are at number 12.
Australia and the next nine highest-ranked sides on the T20I Team Rankings will qualify automatically for the ICC World Twenty20 2020, which will be held in Australia.
