Bangladesh clinch rain-affected T20 against NCU President’s XI

Bangladesh won its second T20 warm-up match which was also played on Monday. The second match which was against an NCU Preisdent’s XI at The Green in Comber was affected by rain and it was Bangladesh, who prevailed in the curtailed contest by 48 runs (D/L Method).

Bangladesh won its second T20 warm-up match which was also played on Monday. The second match which was against an NCU Preisdent’s XI at The Green in Comber was affected by rain and it was Bangladesh, who prevailed in the curtailed contest by 48 runs (D/L Method).

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh posted 164 for 5 with opener Mohammad Ashraful helping himself to an unbeaten 52 (from 49 balls with 4 fours). Acting Skipper Mahmudullah slammed 43 from 27 balls (with 6 fours and a six) coming in at no.3 while Ziaur Rahman chipped in with a cameo of 22 from 11 balls with a four and 2 sixes.

The NCU President’s XI in their run chase were struggling at 61 for 5 in 13.2 overs when rain had prevented any further action. Left-arm spinner Elias Sunny was the most successful bowler for the visitors taking 2 for 7 in 3 overs.
