Dashing opening batsman David Warner has injured his left thumb in the nets which will rule him out of action for atleast the first two ODIs of the West Indies series. The left-hander is also doubtful for the India tour which will kick off in the latter part of next month. Warner suffered the injury when facing Mitchell Johnson on a WACA pitch in Perth.
Cricket Australia have called up Usman Khawaja as Warner’s replacement. The first ODI between Australia and West Indies will be played on the 1st of February at Perth.
