West Indies southpaw Shivnarine Chanderpaul on Thursday became the 10th player in the history of Test Cricket to cross the 10,000 run milestone.

West Indies southpaw Shivnarine Chanderpaul on Thursday became the 10th player in the history of Test Cricket to cross the 10,000 run milestone. The 37-year-old Guyanese got to the milestone during the course of his 69 in the West Indian second innings during the fourth day’s play of the Third Test at the Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.

Shivnarine ChanderpaulChanderpaul who is now playing his 140th Test made his Debut way back in 1994 against England at Georgetown. The left-hander who has an unusual looking batting stance has gone onto score 25 100s and 59 fifties till date in Test Cricket. Chanderpaul is the only batsman from the West Indies apart from Brian Lara to cross the 10,000 run-mark in Test Cricket.
