Zimbabwe ended its tour of New Zealand with another defeat. This time despite posting a huge total of 200 for 2 in 20 overs, the visitors went onto lose the Second and Final T20I at the Seddon Park in Hamilton.

The visitors batting first after winning the toss got off to a smashing start of 76 from its openers in 7 overs. Stuart Matsikenyeri provided the early impetus with 32 from 19 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. His opening partner Hamilton Masakadza scored 62 from 42 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes while Skipper Brendan Taylor stayed unbeaten with 75 from 43 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

The Kiwis in their run chase got an even better start with its openers laying the foundation by putting up 103 in 10.1 overs. Rob Nicol struck 56 from 37 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes while his partner James Franklin got 60 from just 37 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Franklin who stayed till the 15th over taking New Zealand to 142 for 2 got the Man of the Match award. The finishing touches towards the victory came from Kane Williamson who scored an unbeaten cameo of 20 from just the five balls hitting 3 fours and a six! The Kiwis won by 5 wickets with only two balls to spare.
