The 38-year-old Dravid had struck four boundaries in a controlled 79-ball knock when he was bowled through the gate by England spinner Graeme Swann.

England’s entire team ran to Dravid to shake his hand as he departed for the pavilion while he was given a standing ovation by the crowd and his teammates, who lined the balcony outside their dressing room to hail the batsman.

Dravid amassed 10,889 runs in ODIs since 1996, with SachinTendulkar describing his teammate as the “perfect team man.”
