Bangladesh caused another upset to defeat New Zealand by a comprehensive margin of 7 wickets with as many as 10 overs to spare in the third ODI at Mirpur! The Tigers have now taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 with the second ODI getting washed out without a result.

Asked to bat first by the hosts after losing the toss, New Zealand were bundled out for just 173 in 42.5 overs with left arm spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo claiming dream figures of 10-2-14-3! Eight out of ten wickets of New Zealand went down to the spinners. Ross Taylor was the top scorer of the innings with 62 from 72 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Bangladesh cruised through in their chase which was finished in 40 overs. Openers Imrul Kayes (50 from 83 balls) and Shahriar Nafees (73 from 73 balls with 13 fours) paved way for the easy chase with their opening stand of 127. Suhrawadi Shuvo was the Man of the Match.
