MS Dhoni is the Man of the Match for obvious reasons. Says that I have spent a lot of time at this ground, also made my Test debut here. Saturday and Sunday was fun and it was good to see people come here for Test cricket. It was important to play some big shots to force the opposition captain to remove the bat pad fielders and spread the fielders. Sachin, Pujara and Kohli did a good job to tire the bowlers in humid conditions. Ashwin bowled brilliantly in the right areas. Harbhajan supported him in the second innings. Never thought I would score a double century in Test cricket, in fact never dreamt of playing for the country. Just take things as they come...
Michael Clarke: Full credit to India and it was Dhoni's knock that took the game away from us. Henriques played well on his debut. Need to look at things and come up with better strategy in the second Test. We expect these kind of pitches in the sub-continent. Will be ready for the second Test...
India took an hour and 20 minutes to wrap up an 8-wicket win in the Chepauk Test. Chasing a target of 50, India took 11.3 overs to reach there with the opening batsmen â Vijay and Sehwag becoming causalities. Vijay was caught driving Pattinson uppishly to mid off while Sehwag edged a straighter one from Lyon to slip.
It was destiny that Sachin Tendulkar walked in to bat with India needing only 14 more runs to win. The Little Master clobbered his first two deliveries off Nathan Lyon for sixes to speed up the Indian victory.
Over 11.3 Nathan Lyon to CA Pujara, 1 run, gets forward and edges the straighter one and the ball just flies over slip and Pujara takes the single. India win by 8 wickets to lead the 4-match Test Series 1-0.

Over 11.1 Nathan Lyon to CA Pujara, no runs, gets forward in defence and is beaten by a straighter one.

Over 9.5 Nathan Lyon to SR Tendulkar, no runs, bends down for a sweep and is hit on the pad outside off.
Over 9.4 Nathan Lyon to SR Tendulkar, SIX!! And again Sachin clobbers the off spinner for a six, two biggies in a row, this one a slog sweep sailing over wide long on.
Over 9.3 Nathan Lyon to SR Tendulkar, SIX, Sachin!!!!!!!! He simply goes down on a bent knee and clobbers the flighted delivery all the way over long on for a first ball six!!
Over 9.2 Nathan Lyon to V Sehwag, CAUGHT, and Sehwag is another casualty! Straighter one from Lyon and Sehwag playing for the turn in a frontfoot defence edges it low to Clarke at slip who holds onto that easily.
Over 9.1 Nathan Lyon to V Sehwag, no runs, goes back and slices his cut to point.
